  1. Dr. Md Abdur Rahman has received a funding of 350K SAR from Madinah Development Authority to develop the "StreetView - Deep Learning Assisted Smart City Services" as the PI.
  2. Dr. Md Abdur Rahman has received a funding of 450K SAR from Angel Investment for development of "Building Energy Management through Deep Learning and IoT" as the PI.

2021

Dr. Md Abdur Rahman Winner of the KAUST grand challenge 1M SAR “Ideas and Solutions for Hajj and Umrah 2020” in the category of Crowd Management.

2020

  1. Received a grant from KSU DSR as CO-PI with the title “Deep Neural Network-based COVID-19 Case Detection and Recognition from Real-time Medical Image Analysis and Computer Vision Techniques” worth 237K SAR on May 28, 2020.
  2. Received a grant worth 500K SAR from KACST with the title “A Multi-Modal Point-of-Care Deep Learning-based AI Framework for COVID-19 Rapid Diagnosis” in May 2020. The project is for 6 months starting from May 2020. Our Project ID is 5-20-01-127-0001

2018

  1. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Dr. Elham Hassanain, and Dr. Syed Sadiq Received a grant from UK British Council with the title “Blockchain for Hajj” with 50,000 GBP in March 2018 [Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman – Principal Investigator]
  2. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman and Dr. Elham Hassanain Received a grant worth 7.5 M SAR from KSA RDO with title “An IoT Enabled, Blockchain-Based Secure Framework to Provide Context-Aware, Spatio-Temporal Early Warning Services for a Hajj Mass Crowd” in October 2018 [(University of Oxford and King’s College London)].
